Update (As on 27th Dec 2017): On 27th Dec 2017, JKSSB has announced the much awaited 2154 Teacher Posts. While the vacancies has been announced for 14 Districts only and With 554 Posts Srinagar District Tops the List of JKSSB Teacher Recruitment 2018

Big Update (As on 27th Dec 2017): On 14th Dec 2017 Govt.has announced the SRO-508, mentioning New Rules for Recruitment of Teachers in J&K. Changes have been made only in the "Method of Recruitment". For Details, kindly read this post until the end.

Current Status: In 2017, JKSSB had announced five Recruitment  Notifications, including 1289 Posts in the Education Department.Giving relief to Teacher Aspirants on 27th Dec, 2017, JKSSB has released the Notification for 2154 Teacher Posts for 14 Districts of J&K

Finally, on 14th Dec 2017 Government has released the SRO-508, that contains New Rules for Recruitment of Teachers in J&K

Now, as the SRO is announced, it looks, that JKSSB Teacher Recruitment will be announced soon and most probably in Jan/Feb, 2018. 

If you are one amongst those who have been preparing for government jobs in J&K and especially in the teaching line, here is a big news for you!! The Education Department of J&K has  announced the  Bumper JKSSB Sponsored 2154 Teacher Recruitment in 2018. It is worth mentioning here that this JKSSB Teacher Recruitment 2018 will be biggest in terms of vacancies. If, you remember, Last time, the teacher Jobs in J&K ware advertised in 2013 for over 5000 posts.

The year 2013 has been one of the Golden years in terms of Job creation, as JKSSB single-handedly created close to 19000 Government Jobs. Now, JKSSB is back, with another opportunity for teacher aspirants and particularly those who missed Or Not selected for the Teacher Recruitment in 2013. It is worth mentioning here that for the First time in 2013, Written Exams were conducted for teacher posts, in which over 1.5 lakh candidates have appeared.

The reason for such a bigger appearance in JKSSB teacher Exam is the Eligibility criteria that was only 12th Pass, now the present government has amended the Rules and Fixed Graduation as minimum criteria to apply for teaching Jobs. With this change in Qualification criteria, the competition will be lessened, as Only Graduates can become teachers in J&K.

You might be looking at this page, only after you got the news about the recently announced JKSSB Teacher Recruitment 2017 for more than 2100 posts. Now, the big question is How many people will apply for these 2154 vacancies. It is expected that JKSSB, might receive over 1 Lakh applications for these posts and mostly from Kashmir Division.

Last time, in 2013, JKSSB invited applications for over 5000+ posts and for that, 1.50 lakh people have applied.

On 28th Dec, JKSSB has released the Official Notification for 2154 Teacher Posts and the Good thing is that this Notification has the Revised and Latest Teacher Syllabus too. Usually, JKSSB announces the Notification and announces the Syllabus Later on. But this time, JKSSB did the great by announcing the Syllabus and Notification Simultaneously. 

However, this time, there are Big Changes made in the Syllabus and Scheme of JKSSB Teacher Exam. If you have appeared for JKSSB Teacher Exam in 2013, then you might be aware that at that time, there is No allocation of posts for specific subjects. But this JKSSB Teacher Notification has 30% Posts for Science / Maths and 10% for Urdu.

ie Only those candidates who have studied Maths, Science and Urdu Subjects at Graduation Level for all the Years/ Semesters can apply for these posts, Other Graduates can apply for (General Teachers) Posts

JKSSB Advt 05 of 2017 : 333 Jr. Employment Officer, Grade Nurse, Jr. Assistant Posts

JKSSB announced 333 Jobs in various Government Departments and Ministeries. 

Apply Online before 30th Dec, 2017

JKSSB has ended the Dry Spell of Jobs in J&K, by announcing the Jobs Notifications from the month of October, 2017. In the First nine months of 2017, there was not a single Job Notification announced by JKSSB, but in the Last 2 months, JKSSB has announced some good No. of vacancies. 

In the JKSSB Advt No 02 of 2017, there were 1289 Jobs in the School Education Department, Next, JKSSB announced Advt No. 03 of 2017 for 234 various posts. 

Third JKSSB Advertisement (Advt No. 04 of 2017)  is exclusively for Kashmiri Migrants for more than 1100+ posts. 

And Today, JKSSB announced another Fresh Recruitment Notification (Advt No. 05 of 2017) for 333 vacancies and these posts are announced for 3 Departments viz Labour and Employment, Health and Medical Education, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. While the Notification for these posts was announced on 4th Dec, 2017, Detailed Advertisement will be released by JKSSB on 6th Dec, 2017. 

And if you are a Teacher Job Aspirant, then you need to wait for some time, as these posts will now be announced in March, 2018. J&K's Education Minister has informed that Education Department will refer around 2500 Posts to SSB in March, 2018. JKSSB Exam Dates 2018 Out for School Education Posts (Jr. Assistant, Lab Assistant)

Looking for Exam Dates of JKSSB School Education Department Posts? Here is the Complete Exam Schedule of various School Education posts announced in Oct, 2017 

If you have applied for JKSSB Advt, No. 02 of 2017 (Jr. Assistant, Lab Assistant, Library Assistant and Jr. Librarian) posts in the School Education Department, then Today, we have some big news for you. Today, JKSSB has announced the Exam Dates and Schedule for the Computer-Based Tests (CBT's) for various posts announced in the School Education Department in the month of Oct, 2017. Earlier JKSSB chairman has informed that the Written Exams for all these posts will be conducted in Dec 2017.
