Applied for JKSSB 2154 Teacher Posts? Its time to Fill Preferences for Teacher Posts. Last Date is 18th Feb


If you have applied for 2154 Teacher Posts advertised by JKSSB vide Advt. No. 06 of 2017 Dated 28th Dec 2017, then Today, we have some important news for you. You might already be aware that JKSSB has announced the Tentative Schedule of Teacher Exam Dates. As per the available information, JKSSB Teacher Computer Based Exams are going to start from 1st week of March 2018 and will continue till May 2018.

It is pertinent to mention here that JKSSB will conduct the Exams on Different Dates and Batches for various Districts. For Detailed information, of Exact Date of Teacher Exam a separate Notification, will be announced by JKSSB.

Today, JKSSB has released a Notification, regarding the Online submission of Preferences for Teacher Posts and this is being done to avoid repetition of Candidates in multiple selection Lists. It is pertinent to mention here that this time, JKSSB has announced the Notification for Teacher Posts in 3 categories. ie.

1) General Teacher Posts (60% Posts)
2) Science Teacher Posts (30% Posts)
3) Urdu Teacher Posts. (10% Posts)

A Candidate full filling the Eligibility criteria can apply for Any OR all the Categories of Teacher Posts. ie A Science Graduate can apply for Both General Teacher and Science Teacher Posts and Likewise, an Urdu Teacher can apply for Urdu and General Teacher Posts. And When the same candidate will appear of Different categories of posts, there is every likelihood that some candidates depending upon their performance in the Written Exams figure in Multiple Selection Lists

And this is Why JKSSB is asking for Preferences from Candidates for Teacher Posts so that in case of Selection of Candidate in multiple Selection Lists, he/she will be placed only in the Order of Preferences opted by him.

In this post, we will discuss the step-by-step process for submitting the Online Preferences for various Teacher Posts. Applicants who have applied for Teacher Posts announced in Dec 2017, must submit their Preferences, before 18th Feb 2018.

How to Submit Preferences for JKSSB Teacher Posts?


Only those who have submitted their Online Forms successfully for Teacher Posts can submit the Preferences. You can make the preferences only if your Online form is submitted and you have paid the application fees.

Applicants should note that Online Preferences have started and you can submit 
your preferences till  18th Feb, 2018.

Here are some Simple steps for submitting the Online Preferences for JKSSB Teacher Posts

1) Open the JKSSB Online Portal at www.ssbjk.in .

2) After that, you have to Login to your Account, using your User name and Password



3) After that Click on "My Account" . There on the Left side you will see " Preference Form". Click on it.

4) On this Page, Select the Group of Advertisement from the DropDown List. After that, it will Display the Applications submitted by you, under that Group.

5) Thereafter, you have to Mark your Preferences as 1, 2 or 3 in the TextBox Provided, against each application. 

6) After entering the Preferences, click on the "SAVE" Button. 

7) After successful saving of Preferences, System will Display the Message " Your Preferences are Saved Successfully"

This way, you can submit your preferences, for JKSSB Teacher posts.
