Coming Soon ...................... 30 Thousand + Government Jobs in J&K, under Fast Track Recruitment basis.

If, you are unemployed and presently putting up in J&K, rather if, you are a permanent resident of J&K, then there is good news for you. JKSSB will soon announce the Notifications, for filling up 30,000 Non-Gazetted posts in various government departments, the best part is that, these posts, will be filled through fast track recruitment process.

But there are doubts regarding these posts to be filled on fast track basis, as everyone is aware that JKSSB is the Laziest Recruitment agency in India, and there their Fast track Recruitment, took years, to complete, but still aspirants, will feel better, if these 30000+ vacancies will be advertised. Out of these 300000 vacancies, 3000 are teacher posts, which will be advertised as JKSSB Teacher Recruitment in 2016-17.

But there is another hindrance that will delay this Fast Track Recruitment process and that is. State Government's Failure to abolish the Interview System to Non-Gazetted Jr. Level posts. It is worth mentioning here that Central Government had do away with the Interviews for Jr. Level posts, but state government looks in no mood to abolish this Interview system.

In this article, we will share the complete details, of this Dilly-Dallying approach of state government, towards putting an end to the Interview system for Jr. level posts and Why JKSSB is applauded for its approach in implementing the Written test / Academic merit for Non-Gazetted posts.

Why State Government Fails to implement Only Written test  for Non-Gazetted posts ?

On 15th August, 2015, Prime Minister Mr. Narender Modi, on the eve of Independence day said, that the Government is planning to do away with the Interviews for Non -Gazetted posts (Group D,C,B) and soon, this policy was implemented and came into effect from 1st January, 2016. All the Central Government Jobs for Non -Gazetted posts advertised after 1st January had selection process comprises of only written test Or skill test , but No Interview.

After this decision, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) sent communications to all the states including J&K, to carry on with this No-Interview initiative, which is widely appreciated.

Following pressure from Central Government, to implement this new initiative, state government in the month of Dec, 2015, released an order for replacing the Interviews with Written test / Academic merit and a detailed Notification, was issued in this regard, by GAD for making amendments in the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Decentralisation and Recruitment) Rules, 2010

As per this Notification, JKSSB has to conduct the Written test for the posts referred to it by various government Departments. However, 9 months have passed, since the order was issued and only 6 departments have identified the posts, while the majority of Departments have not yet finalised the List of Jr, Level posts. for which Interviews are to be discontinued and selection to be made only through Written test / Academic Merit only.

It is worth mentioning here that all the Government, Departments have to identify the Jr. Level Posts and submit it to the General Administration Department (GAD), which in turn has to forward the same to JKSSB, along with fresh instructions, if any.

30,000 posts are hanging in air

Now, JKSSB is awaiting these Lists of Jr. Level posts from GAD, as only after that, it will start the process for recruitment of 30,000 posts on Fast track basis. Moreover, the Board, had already, completed all the formalities and worked up on the new pattern to be followed for Recruitment of Non-Gazetted staff.

JKSSB had even deputed its officers at the central level to study the selection process implemented by the central government recruitment agencies.

As of now, the Board, is busy with clearing the vacancies, for backlog posts, that it has advertised since Dec, 2015.
